BIOLOGICAL ASPECT
Taste, colour, odour, freshness, crispiness, are established according to the variety, ground, climate and farming method. The organic farming method envisages not using any synthetic pesticides, weed killers, chemical fertilisers and other non-natural substances or manufactured products. This guarantees the plant tissues a greater percentage amount of dry substance, so that these would be less watery and so have a higher concentration of nutrients.
On the basis of controls made by authority of Min. Dec. under M.I.R.A.A.F. no. 9697167, Ecocert Italia (a control and certification body in the field of biological agriculture) certifies that COLLERONI s.n.c. products should be considered "products deriving from Biological agriculture ", in conformity with EEC Regulation 2092/91. Biological agriculture means a method of production which is defined at community level by EEC Regulation 2092/91 as a “global system of agricultural production favouring management practices rather than recurring to factors of an external origin. From this perspective cultivation, biological and mechanical methods are preferentially used instead of chemical synthetic products” (Codex)
Biological agriculture guarantees a better impact on the environment, product genuineness, the absence of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), and a guaranty in the control and certification system.
